The piece of painted fabric was the start of this quilt. It looked like farm fields to me. I cut it into squares and sewed them to the gray fabric with nylon thread and a zig-zag stitch. The gray fabric is a tree print. The ghosts are the trees that were on the land before it was clear-cut.
