A white-on-white fabric was painted for the background. The large fish were painted from a stencil, and "stuffed" using a trapunto by machine method. Smaller fish were applied with foil. The green plants were bobbin drawn and the leaves painted.
The 'starter' fabric for this quilt was a white-on-white print, which I painted with blue dyes. Some glitter paint was also added. The pink fish were stencilled with fabric paint. The coral was silk-screened with a freezer-paper method. Shaped sequins were glued on for small schools of fish and small objects around the coral.
