Doughty Designs Wedding Signature Quilt

My client and her fiance were chosen as the "most romantic couple" by a major bridal magazine. The prize was the entire wedding -- provided and planned by the magazine. One of the few things she could do on her own was commission a signature quilt that the wedding guests could sign. She saw my "Diamond Dance" quilt in progress and really liked the idea of a map projection, since she and her fiance travel the world for their careers. The flags represent all the countries where they have worked. The guests signed the yellow squares in the background.

Cartographic note: The map projection is called the 'sinusoidal' and is part of the family of projections that distort area the least.
